Volunteer Groups
The Corps of Royal Engineers The Royal Engineers serve all over the world as recognised by their motto “Ubique”, which means everywhere.
Dorset ACF Cadets. The South West of England boasts more than 2,000 reservists across the Army, Air and Naval Forces.
Warmwell Quarries (AGGREGATE INDUSTRIES LTD) . . provided over 200 one ton bulk bags into which the redundant stone chippings were loaded, ready for airlifting off the site.
Commando Helicopter Force RNAS Yeovilton Royal Navy Sea King helicopter pilots and their crews from the Commando Helicopter Force (CHF) at Yeovilton supplemented their training by lifting tons of stone chippings from the face of the White Horse.
Thomas Hardye School – Dorchester On Friday 15th July 2011, 20 International Baccalaureate students from Thomas Hardye School were among the first of several volunteer groups to work on the hill cutting out the restored outline.

It seems that the osmington white horse can no longer be seen and its a shame for such an amazing monument that stands out on the hill i myself have loads of memories. From seeing this the first time in weymouth and then every time we visit weymouth there was a mention of it being sprayed next month. I am visiting weymouth in may for a. Week. At seaview caravan park and would make my visit worth everything would be to see the osmington white horse at least restored to so you can see it at least

Mr Codd Needs to put his own garden straight first before messing about with anyone elses. His Grade 2 white house is in a mess with hedges upto 25 feet high and fences that are way over the legal limits i wonder why an earth anyone would let him loose with the horse – Mr Codd your chips have now gone cold!
